We are proud to have found a small jewel again in the underground of Berlin, namely Reflektor. Mister Buermann opens his own drawer on the matter of techno. Quite rough, but yet very clear is the range of his songs. Playfully in his arrangements, the whippersnapper proves his finesse with long-lasting synth phases, without deviating from the original theme too much. His logic consists in wrapping up techno productions with a certain flair of funkiness and old school, and in refining the beat with a broadly based kick. In this, he has succeeded. A brilliant axe. The remix of label boss Steinmüller rather makes an excursion into a more house-like terrain, lets the framework kick immensely one more time and becomes a weapon when the floor is just hanging by a silken thread.
